Small place but amazing Seafood great staff.

We love this little smokehouse we stop every time we go to the bridge.

Just ate THE best smoked Lake Trout ever. It was fantastic. Great service, will pack on ice if your traveling. Can't wait to get back there next fall.

Kruegers has always been our go to place for jerky and smoked fish. Every trip we take up north we stop there. Can be a bit expensive for jerky lovers but definitely worth every penny

5 star for the taste - 1 star for the hygiene.Visited this location in the second half of July craving for smoked fish. The selection was really small in the tiny refrigerator: some white fish filet - few trout chunks and salmon filet. Nothing else. We ask for the white fish and the lady at the counter grabs with her bare hands the filet just after returning the coins change to the customer before us. Apparently the basic hygiene concept is a nuisance here.

Very Friendly Staff And Delicious Smoked Fish

Kruger's had been a traditional stopping point for my wife's family for almost 20 years. This is a great place, run by great people, that have great products. A must stop in Mackinaw.

I purchased 2 whole white fish. It still had fish guts in it. Very dry. Also establishment when I went inside smelled more of cigarette smoke than smoked fish. Will never go back. It was a waste of $40. I’ve been here before. Not like it was the first time. Will not go back.

I've been going to this place when I'm in the area for years. They have really good smoked fish, trout, salmon, whitefish etc. For me the standout is their fish sausage. I know it sounds strange but trust me, try it. You'll be glad you did. It's really tasty. I love eating it sliced with cheese and crackers. A trip to Krueger's just to get the fish sausage is worth it. Be warned it's a minimalist shopping experience. It's a fish market selling smoked meats, and a couple of other things (a couple of spices etc), that's about it. Oh and one last thing. If they have the whole smoked chicken in stock do yourself a favor and but one of those.

Awesome place, big smoker outside, hunting trophies and a look at the operation inside. Great smoked fish and hunter meats.

Gotten 4 deer butchered here. Excellent job, clean, labeled and can tell you deffinetly get what you pay for. Good people too. Had blood on my wool sweater she dabbed it off with a wet napkin for me.

Excellent smoked fish, fish sausage, teriyaki beef sticks and jerky. Those are the items I’ve tried and I’ve since been back twice to stock up my freezer for the winter. Delicious and reasonable prices. I highly recommend.

My husband loves stopping here for smoked trout and salmon whenever we are in mackinaw city. Friendly service and good prices. Off the beaten path and not too crowded when we were there last.

Always stop in at Krueger’s on our way to Michigan’s UP. Great smoked fish. Always fresh smoked We like the Whitefish and also the beef jerky. The folks working there are always very helpful and friendly. Once on a trip back down home we got there just after they had closed, but they opened and we had had fish for home. Thank You for running a great business.

Smoked fish is great, but whitefish dip is 90% cream cheese and 10% fish. Really disappointing.

When we are in the are we stop for smoked fish and smoked fish dip. It's Very Good.

I not crossing the bridge without stopping here anymore; walk inside and smell and you will see. Of course the smoker smells great but it's the smell inside the small and functional shack that affirms the freshness of the catch. I bought a pound each of the smoked "chunk" salmon and lake trout. The "chunk" variety is cut into steaks and smoked with the bones still in the flesh. All the bones are attached to the spine so you can pull all the bones out in one piece. I believe the flavor is better with chunk, but the chunk salmon is quite wet; I'm going with smoked salmon filets next time. Both species were stellar, but I prefer the lake trout. I would have purchased fresh lake trout or salmon but they only had walleye and whitefish that day ... and I catch those myself.

OH MY GOODNESS! Likely the BEST BBQ Turkey Jerky I've ever had....and they've always had good smoked fish. If your visiting MC it's a standard must stop.

Krueger's in Mackinaw city best place to have your deer meat turned into something extraordinary. Pepper and teriyaki venison are my favorite. 👍
